This fresh, dry white is a blend of varieties indigenous to Portugal's Douro valley including Arinto (known to retain freshness even in hot conditions) and Gouveio (known as Godello in northern Spain).
The Gouveio, Viosinho and Arinto grapes, indigenous to the north of Portugal, grow in fine soils with some schist. The vineyards are situated near Cambres, in the western part of the Douro valley, south of the river. Some of the vines are over 50 years old, and they enjoy a warm and dry climate. After harvesting the grapes are fermented in stainless steel at controlled temperatures.
Tasting notes
Aromas of melon and white peach with floral hints. Stone fruit, apple and lemon peel characters on the palate - there is no use of oak or malolactic but the wine has an appealing creamy texture and refreshing finish.
